Marina Petrova’s short fiction has been published in Story, Mississippi Review, The Gettysburg Review, Catapult, The Pinch, The Conium Review, and other journals.
She was awarded fellowships from MacDowell and the Sustainable Arts Foundation. Her work was included among the distinguished stories in the 2024 Best American Short Stories anthology. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School.
Born in the former Soviet Union, she has lived in the South, Midwest, and presently Northeast. She is currently working on a short story collection.
