I work with students on every kind of writing: academic, college applications, personal essays, and fiction. The goal is always the same: formulate your ideas, structure your piece, shape your sentences, find the right words, and avoid clichés. Write with clarity and in your own voice.

Writing is like building a house. There must be a concept and a blueprint. The foundation must be solid to support the structure. A stove doesn’t belong in the bedroom, and a chimney doesn’t go in the garage. Windows, tiles, and paint colors tell the full story. 

With each student, we start with a discussion of ideas and structure to create the first draft. Then we work on edits, so the final draft flows, and has a rhythm that carries the reader.
